The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,412.80 with a loss of -1.44% percent or -93.70 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,546.00 with a loss of -0.79% percent or -44.00 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 13,655.70 with  a loss of -0.36% or -49.30 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,541.00up with +0.03% percent or +1.00 point.


After a year many of us would rather forget, dominated by the coronavirus pandemic, restrictions and the Brexit saga, stocks fell on Thursday, with the top-flight index suffering its worst annual performance since the financial crisis in 2008.

With more than three quarters of England now under the toughest Tier 4 Covid restrictions and questions remaining over how the UK will fare next year after Brexit, the FTSE 100 ended down 1.5% at 6,460.52. That leaves the index 14.3% lower for the year.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 6,460.52 with a loss of –percent or –95.30 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,551.41 with a loss of – percent or –48.00 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 13,718.78 with a loss of –percent or –42.60 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 30,606.48 up with +percent or +196.92 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,756.07 with + percent or +24.03 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 12,888.28 up with + percent or  +18.28 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at at 27,444.17 with a loss of –percent or –123.98 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,231.13 up with +percent or +84.02 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 3,473.07 up with + percent or +58.62 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 47,939.65 up with +percent or  +188.32 point at 12:15 PM.
