The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,431.50 up with +0.32% percent or +20.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,567.00 up with +1.54% percent or +84.50 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 13,287.00 with a loss of -0.37% or -49.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,506.00 up with +0.03% percent or +1.00 point.


London equity markets finished firmer on Tuesday, with sentiment boosted after Donald Trump authorised President-elect Joe Biden’s official transition process to begin, and following reports that former Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen is in line to be the next US Treasury Secretary.

Sterling was in a mixed state, last strengthening 0.23% on the dollar to $1.3351, but weakening 0.09% to €1.1242.

“Energy stocks are helping to lead the FTSE 100 higher today, as a widespread market exuberance takes hold in anticipation of a global economic recovery,” said IG senior market analyst Joshua Mahony.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 6,432.17  up with +percent or +98.33 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,558.42 up with + percent or +66.27 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 13,292.44 up with +percent or   +165.47 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 30,046.24 up with +percent or  +454.97 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,635.41 up with + percent or  +57.82 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 12,036.78 up with + percent or +156.15 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at at 26,296.86 up with +percent or +131.27 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,637.36 up with +percent or+49.16 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 3,367.22 with a loss of – percent or –35.60 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 44,401.96 up with  +percent or  +324.81 point at 12:15 PM.
