The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,166.20 up with +1.35% percent or +95.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,148.50 up with +1.31% percent or +66.50 point The DAX Futures is trading at 11,613.50 up with +1.61% percent or +183.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,237.00 with +1.51% percent or +48.00 point.


London’s FTSE 100 started November on the back foot due to heavy falls in oil stocks and a surging pound, but solid updates from the likes of BT, Smith & Nephew and Just Eat set a more upbeat tone as the Bank of England sat on its hands.

After starting lower, the UK benchmark index spent half the day in positive territory before running out of puff to finish down just 13 points or 0.2% at 7,114.66.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,114.66 with a loss of -0.19% percent or -13.44 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,085.78 with a loss of -0.15% percent or  -7.65 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,468.54  up with +0.18% percent or  +21.03 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,380.74  up with +1.06% percent or  +264.98 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,740.37 up with +1.06% percent or +28.63 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,434.06 up with +1.75% percent or +128.16  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,243.66  up with +2.56% percent or 556.01 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,373.88 up with +3.77% percent or +957.88 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,676.48 up  with +2.70% percent or  +70.24 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,028.49 with +1.73% percent or +596.52 point at 12:15 PM.
