FTSE Futures Morning Update on 05 November

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,070.20  with a loss of -0.20% percent or -14.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,112.00 up with +0.59% percent or +30.00 point The DAX Futures is trading at 11,532.50  with a loss of -0.10% percent or -12.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,218.00 up with +1.18% percent or 0.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a muted open on Monday following heavy losses in Asia, as investors awaited the latest reading on the UK services data, while US mid-term elections and the Fed’s interest rate decision later in the week will also be eyed.

London Capital Group analyst Jasper Lawler said: “Whilst October’s wild volatility is now the rear-view mirror, traders will be hoping for equity markets to return to a more stable footing over the coming month. However, this could be wishful thinking given the risk events on tap.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,094.12 with a loss of -0.29%percent or -20.54 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,102.13 up with +0.32% percent or  +16.35 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,518.99 up with +0.44% percent or  +50.45 point.
 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,270.83  with a loss of -0.43% percent or  -109.91 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,723.06  with a loss of -0.63% percent or -17.31 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,356.99 with a loss of -1.04% percent or -77.06  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,898.99   with a loss of -1.55% percent or -344.67 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,917.60  with a loss of -2.15% percent or -568.75 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,665.43  with a loss of -0.41% percent or  -11.05 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 34,940.28 with  a loss of -0.20% percent or -71.37 point at 12:15 PM.
