FTSE Futures Morning Update on 05 October

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,439.80 for up with +0.22% percent or +16.60 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,361.50   for up with +0.03%  percent or +1.50  point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,942.80 with a loss of -0.10% percent or -13.20 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,587.0 for up with +0.11% percent or +4.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks edged higher in early trade on Thursday as the pound lost ground amid concerns about Brexit, ahead of speeches by Bank of England policymakers Ian McCafferty and Andy Haldane.At 0830 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.3% to 7,492.04, while the pound fell 0.5% against the dollar and the euro to 1.3184 and 1.1211, respectively.

Spreadex analyst Connor Campbell said: “After a brief respite on Wednesday, thanks to that better than forecast UK services PMI, sterling has resumed its October slide this Thursday.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,479.65  for up with +0.16% percent or +12.07 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,366.13  for up with +0.05% percent or  +2.91 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,952.23   with  a loss of –0.14% percent or –18.29  point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 22,661.64  for up with +0.09% percent or +19.97 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,537.74   for up with +0.12% percent or  +3.16 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,534.63 for up  with +0.04% percent or +2.91 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,628.56 for up with +0.01% percent or +1.90 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,379.18  for up with  +0.73% percent or  +205.97 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,348.94   for up with  +0.28%  percent or  +9.30  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 31,661.02   with a loss of  –0.03%  percent or  1-0.69 point at 12:15 PM .
