FTSE Futures Morning Update on 15 May. 2020

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 5,818.20 up with +1.64% percent or +93.70  point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,320.00 up with +1.12% percent or +48.00 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 10,467.00 up with +0.07%or +7.40 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 2,776.00 up with +1.46% percent or +40.00 point.


CMC Markets analyst David Madden said: “Overnight, China announced several economic reports. The fixed asset investment reading for April was -10.3%, while the consensus estimate was -10%, and keep in mind the March update was -16%. Industrial production was 3.9% and economists were anticipating 1.5%, while the previous reading was -1.1%. Retail sales came in at -7.5%, and the forecast was -7%. The retail sales report for March was -15.8%.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 5,818.63  with 1.34% percent or +77.09 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 4,329.36 up with +1.32% percent or +56.23 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 10,498.82 up with +1.57% percent or +161.80 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 23,625.34 up with +1.62% percent or +377.37  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,852.50  up with +1.15% percent or +32.50 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,943.72 up with +0.91% percent or +80.56  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,037.47 up with +0.62% percent or +122.69 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 23,809.69 with a loss of –0.084% percent or –20.05  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,868.46  with a loss of –0.066% percent or –1.88 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 30,955.62 with a loss of –0.54% percent or –167.27  point at 12:15 PM.
