The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 5,452.00 up with +0.61% percent or +33.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,215.00 up with +0.25% percent or +10.50 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 9,500.50  up with +1.77% or +165.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 2,644.00 up with  +2.12% percent or +55.00 point.


London stocks were set for more losses on Thursday following a downbeat US session, amid growing concerns about the coronavirus outbreak and its impact on the global economy.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 37 points lower at 5,417.

CMC Markets analyst David Madden said: “Last week we saw a lot of money being thrown at the pandemic as central banks and governments took drastic measures to cushion the blow to their respective economies, but now dealers must contend with the growing health crisis.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 5,465.10 up with  +0.19% percent or +10.53  point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 4,204.75  with a loss of –0.059% percent or –2.49 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 9,506.22 with a loss of -0.40% percent or –38.53  point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 20,943.51  with a loss of –4.44% percent or –973.65 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,470.50 with a loss of –4.41% percent or ?114.09 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,360.58 with a loss of –4.41% percent or –339.52 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 17,818.72 with a loss of –1.37% percent or –246.69  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 23,224.48  up with +0.60% percent or +138.69   point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,780.64  up with +1.69% percent or +46.12  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 28,265.31 with a loss of  –4.08% percent or –1,203.18  point at 12:15 PM.
