London stocks were set to drop at the open on Wednesday, tracking losses in the US and Asia amid worries about a global slowdown.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 30 points lower at 7,330.

US stocks slumped overnight after the release of dismal manufacturing data, with the ISM index for the sector falling to 47.8 in September from 49.1 in August, missing expectations and hitting it weakest level in a decade.
