FTSE Futures Morning Update on 12 March

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,241.00 for up  with +0.33% percent or  +23.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,293.50 for up with  +0.39% percent or +20.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,423.50 for up with +0.78% percent or +96.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,355.0 for up  with +0.45% percent or +15.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

 Shares finished at their best level of the session, amid optimism around the situation on the Korean peninsula, and after a bumper US non-farm payrolls report for February boosted copper and oil futures which in turn lifted shares of miners and oilers.

In a break with the standard practice of the past few decades, overnight US President Trump agreed to meet by next May with Kim Jong for talks about its nuclear weapons, something North Korea had been seeking with an American president for more than 20 years.

For the day the Dow are trading at 25,335.74  for up with +1.77% percent or +440.53  point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,786.57  for up  with +1.74% percent or  +47.60 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,560.8  for up with +1.79% percent or +132.86 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,824.03 for up  with  +1.65% percent or  +354.83 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,591.32 for up with +1.92% percent or  +595.11 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,326.70  for up with  +0.59% percent or +19.53 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,662.53 for up with +1.07% percent or  +355.39 point at 12:15 PM.
