FTSE Futures Morning Update on 09 March


The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,205.00 for up  with +0.02% percent or  +1.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,246.00 with  a loss of -0.14% percent or -7.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,302.50  with  a loss of -0.47% percent or -57.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,408.00 with a loss of -0.20% percent or -7.00 point.


London stocks were set for a steady open on Friday as traders digest news that US President Trump has accepted an offer to meet North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and ahead of the release of the key non-farm payrolls report.

The FTSE 100 was called to open unchanged at 7,203.

Trump has agreed to meet with Kim Jong Un by May for talks about its nuclear weapons, according to reports.

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “While it is easy to be cynical, one can’t help feeling these talks could well go the same way as previous attempts but nonetheless it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.”

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,202.64 with  a loss of -0.01% percent or -0.60 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,247.13   with a loss of -0.13% percent or -6.96 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,295.07 with a loss of -0.49% percent or  -60.50 point.


For the day the Dow are trading at 24,895.21  with for up  +0.38% percent or +93.85 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,738.97  for up with +0.45% percent or  +12.17 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,427.95 for up with +0.42% percent or +31.30 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,469.20 for up  with  +0.47% percent or  +101.13 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 30,996.21 for up with +1.11% percent or  +341.69 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,307.17  for up with  +0.57% percent or +18.76 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,310.58  with a loss of -0.12% percent or  -40.99 point at 12:15 PM.
