FTSE Futures Morning Update on 27 December

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,537.80 for up with +0.15% percent or +11.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,361.50 with a loss of -0.16% percent or -8.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,055.00 with a loss of -0.13% percent or -16.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,544.00 for up with +0.08% percent or +3.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a slightly firmer open on Wednesday, with trade expected to be quiet during the lull between Christmas and New Year.

The FTSE 100 was called to open nine points higher at 7,605.

There are no major UK data releases due.

On the corporate front, oil giant Royal Dutch Shell said it expects the potential economic impact of the recently-enacted US tax reform legislation to be favourable to it and to its US operations, mainly due to the future reduction in the US corporate income tax rate to 21% from 35%

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,911.21 for up with +0.08% percent or +18.52 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,602.58 for up  with +0.09% percent or  +25.78 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,275.78 with a loss of –0.92% percent or –30.34 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,071.08 for up with +0.18% percent or  +60.47 point at 12:15 PM.
