The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,569.00 for up with +0.13% percent or +9.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,362.00 for up with +0.01% percent or +0.50point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,051.50 with a loss of -0.04% percent or -5.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,534.00 for up with +0.03% percent or +1.00 point.


London shares notched up fresh record highs on Thursday as the pound ticked up against the greenback, with a strong performance from miners and retailers and a sprinkling of M&A news providing some momentum amid holiday-thinned volumes.

The FTSE 100 was 0.37% or 28.02 points firmer at 7,620.68, while the pound was up 0.16% against the dollar at 1.3399 and 0.15% lower versus the euro at 1.1261.

Commenting on Wednesday’s market action, IG’s Joshua Mahony said: “The FTSE 100 and 250 indices have punched into fresh highs as we head towards the close of 2018, with Donald Trump’s tax reforms proving to carry enough weight to ensure global market

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,620.68 for up  with +0.37% percent or +28.02 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,368.84  for up with +.08% percent or  +4.13 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 13,072.79  with a loss of -0.02%  percent or -2.77  point.


For the day the Dow are trading at 24,774.30 for up with +24,774.30 percent or +28.09 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,682.62 for up with +0.08% percent or +2.12 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,939.34 for up with  +0.04% percent or +3.09point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,783.98 for up with +0.56% percent or +127.23 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,840.68  for up  with +0.82% percent or  +243.02  point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,296.38 for up with +0.63% percent or +20.6 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,913.96 for up with +0.01% percent or  +60.47 point at 12:15 PM.
