FTSE Futures Morning Update on 13 September

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,306.5 with a loss of -0.74% percent or -55.2 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,192.0  with a loss of   -0.12%  percent or -6.5 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,504.30  with  a loss of-0.15% percent or -19.20 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at3,493.0  with a loss of -0.14% percent or -5.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a slightly weaker open on Wednesday as investors eyed the release of key UK unemployment and wages data.The FTSE 100 was expected to open down eight points at 7,392.On the data front, the ILO unemployment rate, claimant count and average earnings are at 0930 BST.CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “Today’s wages and unemployment data could well shift that dial further particularly if wages show further signs of edging higher in response to a tightening labour market. Over the last couple of months average earnings have managed to recover from lows of 1.7% to recover to 2.1%. This recovery is expected to continue in July with a rise to 2.2%, while the unemployment rate is expected to remain at a 42 year low of 4.4%.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,340.14  with a loss of  –0.82% percent or –60.62 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,207.26   with  a loss of –0.03% percent or –1.75 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,508.96   with  a loss of  –0.13% percent or –15.81 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 22,118.86  for up with  +0.28% percent or  +61.49 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,496.48 for up with +0.34% percent or +8.37 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,454.28 for up with  +0.34% percent or +22.02 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,865.82 for up with +0.45% percent or  +89.20 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,881.59  with a loss of  –0.32% percent or –90.65 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,384.15  for up with +0.14% percent or  4.66 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,306.09 for up with +0.46% percent or +147.43 point at 12:15 PM .
