FTSE Futures Morning Update on 18 July 2017

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,325.20 with a loss of -0.25% percent or -18.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,217.00 with a loss of -0.21% percent or -11.00 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,530.00 with a loss of 0.46% percent or -58.40 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,500.0 with a loss of -0.17% percent or  -6.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Stocks ended on a mixed note, with sentiment buoyed by stronger-than-expected economic data out of China overnight and following the release of in-line consumer price data for June.

By the closing bell, the benchmark Stoxx 600 was higher by 0.0.1% or 0.02 points at 386.86, with the German Dax off by 0.35% or 44.56 points to 12,587.16 and the Cac-40 down by 0.10% or 5.14 points to 5,230.17.

The headline rate of Eurozone CPI dipped to 1.3% for June after a reading of 1.4% for May, as expected.

PREVIOUS DAY ACTIVITY

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,404.13 with for up with +0.35% percent or +25.74point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,230.17  with a loss of 0.10% percent or – 5.14 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,587.16 with a loss of –0.35% percent or –44.56 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 21,629.72 with a loss of –0.04% percent or –8.02 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,459.14 with  a loss of –0.01% percent or –0.13 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,314.43 for up with of +0.03% percent or +1.97 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,999.91 with a loss of – 0.59% percent or –18.95 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 26,466.88 with a loss of –0.01% percent or –3.70 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,178.43 for up with  +0.06% percent or  +1.97 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,828.72  with a loss of –0.77% percent or –246.06 point at 12:15 PM .
