FTSE Futures Morning Update on 17 July 2017


The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,326.20 with 0.00% percent or -0.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,238.0 for up with +0.10% percent or +5.0 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,602.80 with a loss of -0.07% percent or -8.20 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,516.0 with 0.00% percent or 0.0 point.


Stocks in Europe were trading on a mixed note early on, as traders waited on the latest euro area consumer price figures and despite a slate of better-than-expected data released overnight in China.

As of 0920 BST the benchmark Stoxx 600 was higher by 0.11% or 0.43 points at 387.27, but the German Dax was lower by 0.30% or 37.68 points to 12,593.77 and the Cac-40 was drifting lower by 0.04% or 2.02 points to 5,233.29.

Euro area consumer price data for June was set for release at 1000 BST, with economists forecasting a dip in headline CPI from a 1.4% pace in May to 1.3% for June.

The data would set the stage ahead of the next European Central Bank policy meeting, on Thursday, at which analysts were hoping for a little more clarity as to the monetary authority’s medium-term plans for its asset purchase programme.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,419.46 with for up with +0.56% percent or +41.07 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,238.17 for up with +0.05% percent or +2.82 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,607.09 with a loss of –0.19% percent or -024.63 point.


For the day the Dow are trading at 21,637.74 for up with +0.39% percent or +84.65 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,459.27 for up with +0.47% percent or +11.44 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,312.47 for up with of +0.61% percent or +38.03 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,118.86 for up with +0.09% percent or +19.05 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 26,470.58 for up with +0.31% percent or +81.35 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,176.46 with a loss of –1.43% percent or –45.95 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,074.78 for up with  +0.17% percent or +54.03 point at 12:15 PM .
