The DAX Futures are trading at 12,772.2 for up with +0.05% percent or +5.8 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,538.0 with a loss of -0.28% percent or -10.0 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
European markets have begun the session lower weighed down by another fall overnight in crude oil futures, but against a backdrop of positive economic data and heavy news-flow news regarding continued deal-making in the corporate space.
As of 0849 BST, the benchmark Stoxx 600 was off by 0.29% or 1.11 points at 387.39, alongside a drop of 0.27% or 34.11 points to 12,741.20 in Germany’s Dax and a retreat of 0.40% or 21.13 points to 5,253.13 for the Cac-40.
In parallel, front month Brent futures were dipping 0.13% to $44.76 a barrel on the ICE following a sharp fall the day before. Some City-based traders referenced downbeat remarks from OPEC producers regarding the possibility of further output cuts as the reason behind the weakness in oil.
