FTSE Futures Update : 02 August 2021

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,996.50 up with +0.52% percent or +36.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,617.50 with a loss of -0.20% percent or -13.50 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 15,611.00 up with +0.44% or +69.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 4,108.00 up with +0.50% percent or +20.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

It’s been a disappointing end to the week, and the month for markets in Europe at the end of a week and a month that has seen the FTSE 250 hit a new record high, and yet we’ve seen very little way of progress in the FTSE 100, which looks set to finish July more or less where it started,” said CMC Markets chief market analyst Michael Hewson.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,032.30 with a loss of –0.65% percent or ?46.12 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 6,612.76 with a loss of –0.32% percent or ?21.01 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 15,544.39 with a loss of –0.61% percent or ?96.08 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 34,935.47 with a loss of –0.42% percent or ?149.06 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,395.26 with a loss of –0.54% percent or ?23.89 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 14,672.68  with a loss of –0.71% percent or ?105.59 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,781.48 up with +1.82% percent or +497.89point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,180.06 up with +0.84% percent or +219.03 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,462.57 up with +1.94% percent or +65.78 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 52,933.30 up with +0.67% percent or +353.57 point at 12:15 PM.
