The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,202.20  up with +0.25% percent or +17.70 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,373.20 up with +0.10% percent or +5.20 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 11,719.50 up with +0.21% percent or +25.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,366.00 up with +0.18% percent or +6.00 point.


 London stocks edged higher in early trade on Tuesday following healthy gains in the previous session.

At 0825 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.2% at 7,201.41, having ended firmly higher on Monday on the back of central bank stimulus hopes and renewed optimism over Sino-US trade relations.

Meanwhile, the pound was down 0.2% against the dollar and the euro at 1.2098 and 1.0921, respectively, as it emerged that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has written to EU Council President Donald Tusk calling for the Brexit backstop to be replaced.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,216.85 up  with +0.38% percent or +27.20 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,375.59  up with +0.075% percent or +4.04 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 11,714.51 with a loss of -0.01% percent or –1.56 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,135.79 up with +0.96% percent or  +249.78  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,923.65 up with +1.21% percent or +34.97 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,002.81  up with +1.35% percent or +106.82 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,677.22 up with +0.55% percent or +114.06 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,231.54  with a loss of –0.23% percent or –60.30 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,880.00 with a loss of –0.11% percent or –3.09 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,423.47 up with +0.056% percent or +20.98 point at 12:15 PM.
