FTSE Futures Morning Update on 05 June 2019

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,206.00  with a loss of  -0.09% percent or -6.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,267.52  with a loss of -0.014% percent or -0.74 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 11,961.00  with a loss of -0.30% percent or -35.40 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,332.00 with a loss of -0.12% percent or -6.00 point.


London stocks were set to rise at the open on Wednesday, taking their cue from strong gains on Wall Street as investors welcomed dovish comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 16 points higher at 7,231.

London Capital Group analyst Jasper Lawler said: “The Dow rallied 500 points in its second-best trading session of the year thanks to a more dovish Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. Asian markets followed suit and European bourses are pointing to a stronger start on the open in a clear case of central banks to the rescue, even if the effect is only short term.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,223.24  up with +0.13% percent or +9.03 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,272.10 up with +0.073% percent or +3.84 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,971.17  up with +1.51% percent or

178.36 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,332.18 up  with +2.06% percent or +512.40 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,803.27 up with +2.14% percent or +58.82 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,527.12  up with +2.65% percent or +194.10 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,776.10  with +1.80% percent or +367.56 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,845.12 with +0.31% percent or +83.60   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,861.42 with a loss of -0.030% percent or -0.86 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 40,083.54  with -0.46% percent or ?184.08  point at 12:15 PM.
