FTSE Futures Morning Update on 25 April 2019

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,371.50  with a loss of -0.14% percent or -42.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,504.80  with a loss of -0.27% percent or -14.70 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 12,323.00  with a loss of -0.00% percent or -0.30 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,418.00 with a loss of -0.41% percent or -14.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London Capital Group analyst Jasper Lawler said: “After the close, earnings from the closely watched tech sector were encouraging, although investors are nervous that strong corporate data is not enough. Economic statistics across the globe also need to show more signs of life for the current rally to be sustained. European bourses are pointing to a stronger start after the opening bell.”

On the UK data front, the Confederation of British Industry’s industrial trends survey is at 1100 BST. It’s expected to show a reading of 3 for April, which would be a slight increase from the March reading of 1.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,307.58  up with +0.48% percent or +107.58 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 29,560.38  with a loss of -0.82% percent or -245.45   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,123.83  with a loss of -2.43% percent or -77.79 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,115.64  up with +0.16% percent or +60.96 point at 12:15 PM.
