FTSE Futures Morning Update on 30 October

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,992.20 with a loss of -0.19% percent or -13.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,956.80with a loss of  -0.13% percent or -6.70 point The DAX Futures is trading at 11,312.50  with a loss of -0.17% percent or -19.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,125.00  with a loss of  -0.03% percent or -1.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London-listed stocks found a bid at the start of the week, buoyed by a solid set of earnings from HSBC, the unveiling of tax cuts for 2019 and reports of potential further economic stimulus in the pipeline in China, although traders remained of a cautious bent.

In parallel, the second-tier index put on 1.17% or 213.92 points to finish at 18,566.82, as the Chancellor claimed in his Autumn budget statement that the ‘era of austerity’ was coming to a close.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,442.92  with a loss of -0.99% percent or  -245.39 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,641.25 with a loss of -0.66% percent or -17.44 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,050.29 with a loss of -1.63% percent or -116.92 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,457.29 up with +1.45% percent or +307.49 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,604.90  with a loss of -0.83% percent or -207.14 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,566.65 up  with +0.97% percent or  +24.55 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 33,949.64 with a loss of -0.35% percent or -117.76 point at 12:15 PM.
