FTSE Futures Morning Update on 19 October

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,023.00 up with +0.46% percent or +32.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,126.20 up with +0.64% percent or +32.70 point The DAX Futures is trading at 11,591.50 up with   +0.11% percent or +13.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,207.00 up with +0.12% percent or +4.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “There appears to be a rising concern that the Federal Reserve may well be on the verge of making a serious policy error, in terms of its keenness to normalise monetary policy in order to be better prepared for the next crisis, when it comes. The only problem with this is that their eagerness to do this is causing problems in other parts of the global economy, and in so doing is starting to cause a chain reaction, which looks set to rebound back at them.”

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,045.76   up with  +0.27% percent or +18.77 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,131.64  up with +0.29% percent or  +14.85 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,614.40 up with +0.22% percent or +25.19 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,379.45  with  a loss of -1.27% percent or  -327.23 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,768.78 with a loss of  -1.44% percent or -40.43 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,485.14 with a loss of -2.06% percent or -157.56 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,532.08  with a loss of -0.56% percent or -126.08 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,605.96  up with +0.59% percent or +151.41 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,550.46 up with +2.58% percent or +64.05 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 34,426.32  with a loss of -1.02% percent or -353.26 point at 12:15 PM.
