FTSE Futures Morning Update on 10 October

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,200.80 with 0.00% percent or -0.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,327.50 up with +0.17% percent or +9.00 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 11,980.50  up with +0.15%percent or +18.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,313.00  up with +0.18%  percent or +6.00  point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

 London’s blue chip stocks arrested their recent decline and outperformed their smaller siblings on Tuesday as resources companies provided a lift to offset a rise Italian and US bond yields.

The FTSE 100 finished up just over four points at 7,237.59, while the mid-caps of the FTSE 250 dropped 97 points or 0.5% to 19,549.6, close to a six-month low.

Sterling, which had earlier been in the red, made a late surge on reports of progress in Brexit talks. The pound was up 0.4% versus the dollar to 1.3144 and up 0.4% to 1.1441 on the euro, its highest against the single currency since mid June.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,237.59 up with +0.059% percent or  +4.26 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,318.55 up  with +0.35% percent or +18.31 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,977.22  up with +0.25% percent or +30.06 point.

China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,721.41  up with +0.015% percent or  +0.40 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 34,677.65 up  with +1.10% percent or+378.18 point at 12:15 PM.
