FTSE Futures Morning Update on 04 October

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,456.80  with a loss of  -0.22% percent or -16.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,468.50  with a loss of  -0.36% percent or -20.00 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,234.00  with  a loss of -0.29% percent or -35.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,382.00   with a loss of -0.56% percent or -19.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set to drop at the open on Thursday, taking their cue from a negative session in Asia, as US markets continue to outperform.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 10 points lower at 7,500.

London Capital Group analyst Jasper Lawler said: “After hitting a fresh record on Wednesday, the Dow closed off its high but stayed in the green for a fifth straight session. Financials led the way as treasury yields soared and interest rate expectations jumped higher.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,486.21 with a loss of  -0.32% percent or  -23.82 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,491.40   up with +0.43% percent or +23.51 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,287.58  with a loss of -0.42% percent or -51.45 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,828.39  up with +0.20% percent or +54.45 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,925.51 up with +0.071% percent or +2.08 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,025.08  up with +0.32% percent or +25.54 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,975.62  with  a loss of -0.56% percent or -135.34 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,635.39  with  a loss of -1.68% percent or -455.87 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,821.35  up with +1.06% percent or  +29.58 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,357.91 with a loss of – 1.72% percent or -70.09 point at 12:15 PM.
