FTSE Futures Morning Update on 11 September

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,263.00 with a loss of  -0.25% percent or -18.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,278.20 up with +0.04% percent or +2.20 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,004.50  up with +0.11% percent or +13.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,314.00 up with +0.09% percent or +3.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set to for a positive open on Tuesday after the US government confirmed it is in the process of arranging a second meeting between President Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 11 points higher at 7,290, ahead of the release of a slew of jobs data.

CMC Markets analyst David Madden said: “The announcement is seen as a step in the right direction for political stability in the region. Political and business relations are on the mend elsewhere as Russia and China are looking to launch projects worth $100bn via scores of joint ventures, and this has lifted investment sentiment too.”

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at  7,272.53 with a loss of  -0.093% percent or -6.77  point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,269.63 up with +0.33% percent or +17.42 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 11,986.34  with +0.22% percent or +24.54 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,857.07 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -59.47 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,877.13   up with +0.19% percent or +5.45 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,924.16 up  with +0.27% percent or +21.62 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,664.69 up with +1.30% percent or +291.60 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,477.66   with a loss of  -0.51% percent or  ?135.76 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,664.80  with  a loss of -0.18% percent or ?4.68 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,874.62 with a loss of  0.13%  percent or  ?47.55 point at 12:15 PM.
