FTSE Futures Morning Update on 15 August

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,583.00 with a loss of -0.52% percent or -40.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,411.28  up with +0.15% percent or +7.88 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,387.20 up with +0.22% percent or +27.70 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,413.00 up with +0.09% percent or +3.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Miners dominate the FTSE 100 fallers this morning, led by BHP Billiton down 1.3% at £16.78.

Advertising giant WPP is the biggest blue chip riser, up 1.8% at £12.46.

The wider FTSE 100, however, has trimmed gains and is now up 3.06 points at 7,614.70.

Shares in Hikma Pharmaceuticals soared by 8.6% to £17.88 on the FTSE 250 after it raised its sales forecast for the full-year.

It said it had sold more injectable opioids in the US and had a better-than-expected performance in generics for the first half of the year.

The FTSE 250 rose 0.29% to 20,568.95.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,204.22  with a loss of -0.68% percent or -151.86 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,303.84 with a loss of -1.62% percent or -448.63 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,723.26 with a loss of  -2.08% percent or  -57.71  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,852.00 up with +0.55% percent or +207.10 point at 12:15 PM.
