FTSE Futures Morning Update on 30 July

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,615.50 up with +0.09% percent or +6.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,488.79 with a loss of -0.42% percent or -22.97 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,829.50  with a loss of -0.28% percent or -35.50point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,512.00 with a loss of -0.34% percent or -12.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London shares have opened slightly lower, dragged down by Reach, the owner of the Mirror and Express newspapers, which reported a £113m half-year loss after slashing the value of its regional publishing operations.

Reach is now down 2.5% to 71p. Also hit was estate agent Foxton’s, which reported a £2.5m loss. Its shares were down on open, but have now recovered and are 2.1% higher to £48.61.

The FTSE 100 is now 27.5 points or 0.4% down.

The FTSE 250 has slipped 63.6 points or 0.3%.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,680.75 with a loss of -0.27% percent or ?20.56 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,488.84 with a loss of -0.42% percent or -22.92 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,840.16  with a loss of  -0.16%percent or -20.24 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,451.06  with a loss of -0.30% percent or -76.01 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,818.82  with a loss of -0.66% percent or -18.62 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,737.42 with a loss of -1.46% percent or -114.77 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,544.84  with a loss of -0.74% percent or -167.91 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,713.31 with a loss of -0.32% percent or -90.97 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,869.05 with  a loss of  -0.16% percent or -4.54  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,460.62 up with  +0.33% percent or +123.77  point at 12:15 PM.
