FTSE Futures Morning Update on 20 July

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,637.50 up with +0.26% percent or +20.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,407.82 with a loss of  -0.17% percent or  -9.25 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,663.50  with a loss of -0.11% percent or -13.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,461.00  with a loss of -0.06% percent or -2.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks are expected to slide back again on Friday, mirroring a downbeat Wall Street finish overnight and a mixed Asian session, while the pound recuperates.

The FTSE 100 index was being called 12 points lower by City traders ahead of the open, having finished at 7,683.97 the previous session.

Sterling had recovered a tad overnight from its bruisings at the hands of Parliament and the dollar, climbing back above $1.3, though losing 0.1% more to the euro at 1.1167, around its lowest levels against the single currency since March.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,699.27 up with +0.20% percent or +15.30 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,404.85 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -12.22 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,668.92  with a loss of -0.14%percent or +17.37 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,064.50 with a loss of -0.53% percent or  -134.79 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,804.49  with a loss of -0.40% percent or -11.13 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,825.30  with a loss of -0.37% percent or  -29.15 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at22,697.88 with a loss of -0.29% percent or -66.80 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,223.93 up with +0.76% percent or +213.07 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,829.27 up with +2.05% percent or  +56.73 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,457.64 up with  + 0.29% percent or +103.70  point at 12:15 PM.
