UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,184.50  with a loss of -1.09% percent or -79.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,319.00  with a loss of -0.44% percent or -23.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,432.50 with a loss of  -0.33% percent or -41.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,438.00  with a loss of -0.41% percent or -14.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks closed lower on Thursday, weighed down by weakness in the mining sector and disappointing earnings from ITV and Taylor Wimpey, as the City was covered in a blanket of snow.

The FTSE 100 was down 0.69% to 7,231.91, while the pound was off 0.86%against the dollar at 1.3785 and 0.70% weaker versus the euro at 1.1289.

Investors were mulling the latest data releases from China, as both the manufacturing and non-manufacturing PMIs for February came in lower than expected at 50.3 and 54.5, respectively. This dragged on miners, with shares in Glencore, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, BHP Billiton and Antofagasta all lower.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,724.47  with a loss of -1.56% percent or  -343.77 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 30,908.69  for up with +0.21% percent or  +63.97 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,273.76 for up  with  +0.44% percent or +14.35 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,146.21 with a loss of -0.11% percent or  -37.83  point at 12:15 PM.
