FTSE Futures Morning Update on 27 February

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,301.00  for up with +1.02% percent or +74.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,342.00 for up with +0.50% percent or +26.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,538.50 for up with  +0.50% percent or +62.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,466.00 for up with +0.81% percent or +28.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks finished near their session highs on Yesterday as investors began to entertain the apparently real possibility that rate-setters in the States might not be quite as hawkish as some market participants had been expecting.

Critically, last Friday the head of the Federal Reserve bank of New York, William Dudley, made the case for allowing prices to rise past the monetary authority’s 2% target, arguing that it followed logically from the central bank’s ‘symmetric’ inflation target.

Against that backdrop, the FTSE 100 was up 0.62% to 7,289.58, while the pound edged lower by 0.12% against the dollar to 1.3951 and by 0.13%against the European single currency to 1.1346, despite comments from Bank of England deputy governor Dave Ramsden and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

For the day the Dow are trading at 25,709.27 for up with +1.58% percent or +399.28 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,779.60 for up with +1.18% percent or +32.30 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,421.46 for up with  of +1.15% percent or +84.07 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,389.86  for up with +1.07% percent or  +236.23 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,361.42  with a loss of -0.44% percent or  -137.18 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,292.07 with  a loss of -1.13% percent or -37.51  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,336.98 with a loss of -0.32% percent or  -108.77  point at 12:15 PM.
