The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,202.00  with a loss of -0.11% percent or -8.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,276.00 for up with  +0.45% percent or +23.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,465.00  with a loss of -0.20% percent or -24.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,424.00 with a loss of  -0.32% percent or -11.00 point.


London stocks fell less than one point on Wednesday, as solid results from HSBC and BHP Billiton failed to please demanding investors but currency traders were more taken in by Brexit reports.

The FTSE 100 closed 0.89 points or just 0.012% lower at 7,246.77, while the pound recovered from earlier losses against the dollar to climb to a flat 1.4002 and gained 0.6% versus the euro to 1.1350.

Sterling was tickled green by a vivid speech by Brexit secretary David Davis in Vienna, where he painted an optimistic picture to Austrian business leaders and denied that the Tories will plunge Britain into a “Mad Max-style world borrowed from dystopian fiction”.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,246.77  with a loss of -0.01% percent or -0.89 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,289.86 for up with +0.64% percent or +33.68 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,487.90 for up  with 0.83% percent or  +102.30 point.


For the day the Dow are trading at 24,964.75 with a loss of -1.01% percent or  -254.63 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,716.26 with a loss of -0.58% percent or -15.96 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,234.31 for with a loss of -0.07% percent or -5.16 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,970.81  for up with +0.21% percent or  +45.71 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,439.04 for up with +1.83% percent or +565.41 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,199.16 for up with +0.45% percent or +14.20 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,750.16 for up with +0.14% percent or +46.57  point at 12:15 PM.
