FTSE Futures Morning Update on 04 January

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,639.20 for up with +0.02% percent or +1.40 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,352.50 for up with +0.19%  percent or +10.00  point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,036.80 for up  with  +0.52% percent or +0.30% point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,510.00 for up with +0.11%  percent or +4.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks edged higher on Thursdayday, as a disappointing reading on the UK construction sector was offset by a solid performance for retailers after Next lifted its guidance and ahead of the release of the minutes of the US central bank’s last policy meeting.

The FTSE 100 finished 0.30% or 23.01 points higher at 7,671.11, while the pound was off by 0.24% versus the euro at 1.1242 and 0.54% lower against the greenback at 1.3523
