FTSE Futures Morning Update on 24 November

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,410.20 for up with +0.03% percent or +2.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,375.20 for up with +0.06% percent or +3.20 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,006.50 for up with +0.09% percent or +12.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,568.00 for up with +0.06% percent or +2.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks looked set to nudge up a little at the open, with traders likely to be distracted as they hunt for some Black Friday bargains.

The FTSE 100 was expected to open five points higher at 7,422.

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “In the absence of US markets yesterday for Thanksgiving, markets in Europe had a fairly low key session. With most US investors likely to take an extended weekend when US markets reopen later it could well be more of the same today in what has been a rather up and down week for markets in Europe.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 3,568.00 for up with +0.10% percent or +0.06% point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,382.98 for up with +0.06% percent or +3.44 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 13,022.05 for up with +0.11% percent or +14.29 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 23,526.18 with a loss of -0.27%percent or  –64.65 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,597.08 with a loss of –0.08% percent or –1.95 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,867.36 for up with +0.07% percent or  +4.88 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,550.85 for up with +0.12% percent or  +27.70 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,866.32 for up with +0.53% percent or  +158.38 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,353.82 for up with +0.06% percent or  +1.90 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,694.08 for up with +0.32% percent or +106.00 point at 12:15 PM.
