UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,492.50 for up with +0.04%percent or +3.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,471.50 with a loss of -0.01% percent or -0.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,372.80 with a loss of -0.11% percent or -14.70 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,650.0 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -1.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks closed higher on Wednesday despite weakness in the housebuilding sector following a trading statement from Persimmon.

The FTSE 100 was up 0.22% to 7,529.72, while the pound was down 0.49% against the euro at 1.1309 and off 0.45% versus the dollar at 1.3107.

IG analyst Joshua Mahony said sentiment was also being hit by rising fears over a potential no-deal Brexit, just 16-months away from the UK’s exit from the EU.

“A meeting between the US secretary of commerce and a number of international banks with a large UK footprint has led to an insistence that jobs will move abroad en mass in the near future given the current pace of progress,” he said.

For the day the Dow are trading at 23,563.36 for up with +0.03% percent or +6.13 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,594.38 for up with +0.14% percent or +3.74 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,789.12 for up with +0.32% percent or +21.34 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,868.71  with  a loss of –0.20% percent or –45.11 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,150.24 for up with +0.84% percent or  +242.64 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,427.79 for up with +0.36% percent or +12.33 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,134.06 with a loss of –0.25% percent or –91.22 point at 12:15 PM.
