UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,432.2 with  a loss of -0.19% percent or -12.5 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,382.50 for up with +0.07% percent or +4.00 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,961.50 for up with +0.17% percent or +22.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,583.0 for up with +0.08% percent or +1.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a positive open on Thursday as investors eyed a rate decision by the European Central Bank and ensuing press conference with Mario Draghi.

The FTSE 100 was expected to open 16 points higher at 7,463.

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “The pound saw a reversal of fortune and a nice rebound yesterday after the weakness of Tuesday as a better than expected Q3 GDP number of 0.4% put aside concerns that the Bank of England might get cold feet at next week’s rate meeting about pushing bank rate back to 0.5%, and back to where it had been before last year’s August rate cut.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,458.71 for up with +0.13% percent or +9.79 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,387.49  for up with +0.23%percent or  +12.60 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,965.73 for up with +0.10% percent or +12.32 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 23,329.46 with a loss of  –0.48% percent or –112.30 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,557.15  with a loss of –0.47% percent or –11.98 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,563.89 with a loss of –0.52% percent or –34.54 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,739.78 for up with +0.15% percent or +32.16 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,216.08  with a loss of –0.31% percent or  –86.81 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,407.57 for up with +0.31% percent or  +10.67 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 32,974.94 for up with +0.10% percent or +31.90 point at 12:15 PM.
