TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
European shares were mostly higher at the start of the week as investors sat on the sidelines ahead of a deluge of big corporate earnings reports.
The pan-European Stoxx followed a similar session in Asia, where markets made small advances as the spectre of China Evergrande’s $300bn debt mountain still looms large. The index was up 0.07% to 472.21, alongside a 0.36% advance to 15,599.23 for Germany’s Dax.
