FTSE Futures Morning Update on 14 February 2019

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,136.00 up with +0.21% percent or +15.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,086.00 up with +0.27% percent or +13.50 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 11,192.80 up with +0.20% percent or ++22.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,208.50 up with +0.19% percent or +6.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks ended Wednesday’s session with solid gains, with sentiment underpinned by hopes of an extension to the Sino-US trade truce, as investors digested news that UK inflation fell to a two-year low last month.

The FTSE 100 closed up 0.8% at 7,190.84, while the pound was 0.2% lower against the dollar at 1.2862 and 0.1% firmer versus the euro at 1.1 as figures from the Office for National Statistics showed inflation nudged below the Bank of England’s 2% target for the first time in two years in January as energy prices rose.
