FTSE Futures Morning Update on 03 September

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,456.00 up with  +0.01% percent or +1.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,397.50 with a loss of -0.16% percent or -8.50 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,330.50 with a loss of -0.15% percent or  -19.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,387.00 with a loss of -0.06% percent or -2.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

A midday check on the markets and here in London the FTSE 100 has faltered this morning.

It’s currently 28 points lower at 7,487.46.

But the broader FTSE 250 is up on the day so far by 73 points at 20,764.98.

Across Europe it’s not a particularly cheerful picture either, despite news that unemployment in the eurozone is running at a new low. Frankfurt’s Dax is 0.6% lower. The CAC 40 in Paris is down 1%.

Word is worries over trade, further US tariffs on Chinese goods, and emerging market woes are weighing on investors’ minds.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,456.90 up with with  +0.33% percent or +24.48 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,401.35  with a loss of –0.11%percent or –6.06 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,346.50 with a loss of –0.14% percent or –17.77 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,964.82  with a loss of –0.085% percent or –22.10 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,901.52  up with +0.013% percent or +0.39 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,109.54 up with +0.26% percent or +21.17 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,707.38 with a loss of –0.69% percent or –157.77 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,672.34 with  a loss of –0.78% percent or  –216.21 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,720.73 with a loss of –0.17% percent or –4.52  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,674.85 up with +0.077% percent or  +27.56 point at 12:15 PM.
