FTSE Futures Morning Update on 23 August

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,572.00  up with +0.17% percent or +13.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,420.61  up with +0.22% percent or +12.02 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,373.50  with a loss of  -0.08%  percent or  -10.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,421.00  with 0.00%percent or 0.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London shares have been mixed on close, as investors waited to see how trade talks between China and the US, which start today, will go

The FTSE 100 closed 8.5 points or 0.11% ahead to 7,574.24. Top of the winners is online supermarket Ocado, which climbed 2% to £11.02 after Canadian supermarket Sobey’s told an analyst that it partnered with the British company because it was the “best in the world” for online grocery delivery.

The FTSE 250 ended flat – just 0.4 points up or 0% to 20,642.50. Wood Group is top of the index, rising 6.1% to 755p after having its stock upgraded by stockbroker Numis following better than expected financial results.
