FTSE Futures Morning Update on 22 August

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,529.00  up with +0.08% percent or +6.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,408.60  up with +0.54% percent or +28.96 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,344.50  with a loss of  -0.28% percent or  -34.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,403.00  with a loss of -0.26% percent or  -9.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London shares have ended flat, as the pound slipped against the euro, despite a modest rise against the dollar.

The FTSE 100 closed just 2.2 points or 0.03% down to 7,558.59. Top of the losers was Chilean copper miner Antofagasta, which fell 2% to 826p as the strengthening dollar continued to impact commodities stocks this week.

The FTSE 250 ended 18 points or 0.09% lower to 20,444.36. Another mining firm Kaz Minerals topped the losers, dropping an epic 13.8% to 483p after Credit Suisse downgraded its stock from “outperform” to “neutral”.

China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,713.36  with a loss of -0.75% percent or -20.46  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,285.75  up with +0.018% percent or  +7.00  point at 12:15 PM.
