FTSE Futures Morning Update on 13 August

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,611.50 with a loss of -0.44% percent or -33.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,400.45   with a loss of  -0.27% percent or -14.74 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,351.00 with a loss of -0.49% percent or -60.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,406.00  with a loss of -0.44% percent or -15.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

A quick look at the markets and the FTSE 100 share index remains lower, down 49.14 points, or 0.6%, at 7692.63.

Russian gold miner Evraz is still the worst performing share in the index, down more than 9%, as investors react to the latest US sanctions.

On the currency markets, the pound remains below $1.28, down 0.4% for the day at $1.2767. However, it is up against the euro, rising 0.2% to €1.1143.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,313.14 with a loss of -0.77% percent or -196.09 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,833.28 with  a loss of -0.71% percent or -20.30 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,839.11 up with -0.67% percent or -52.67 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,857.43 with a loss of -1.98% percent or -440.65 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,944.59 with a loss of -1.49% percent or -422.03 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,785.8 with a loss of  -0.34% percent or  -9.44  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,747.46 with a loss of -0.32% percent or -121.77 point at 12:15 PM.
