FTSE Futures Morning Update on 13 July

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,652.00  up with +0.78% percent or +59.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,434.50 up with  +0.53% percent or  +28.61 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,560.50 up with        + 0.66% percent or  +82.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,454.00 up with +0.47% percent or +16.00point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks set were for a positive open on Friday as the pound ticked lower after US President Trump said the Prime Minister’s soft Brexit plan would “probably kill” any trade deal with the US.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 41 points higher at 7,692.

In an interview with The Sun, Trump said that if the UK goes ahead with the soft Brexit strategy revealed on Thursday – which would stick to a common rulebook with Brussels on goods and agricultural produce – any future trade deal with the US would likely be off the cards.

“If they do a deal like that, we would be dealing with the European Union instead of dealing with the UK, so it will probably kill the deal,” he said.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,706.92 up with +0.73% percent or  +55.59 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,436.71  up with +0.57% percent or +30.82 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,567.03 up with +0.59% percent or +74.06 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,924.89 up with +0.91% percent or +224.44 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,798.29  up with +0.87% percent or +24.27 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,823.92 up with +1.39% percent or +107.30 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,597.35 up with +1.85% percent or +409.39 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,523.76 up with +0.15% percent or +42.93 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,831.18  with  a loss of -0.23% percent or -6.48 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,626.79 up with +0.21% percent or  +78.38 point at 12:15 PM.
