UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,205.50  with a loss of -0.17% percent or  -12.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,283.50 for up with  +0.15% percent or +8.00 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,428.00 for up with +0.02% percent or +3.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,435.00 for up  with +0.15% percent or +5.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks failed to build on the gains seen on Wall Street at the end of last week as investors mulled over news that London house prices have slumped over the last year, while M&A was in focus as Melrose sweetened its hostile bid for GKN.

The FTSE 100 finished 0.13% lower at 7,214.76, while the pound was up by 0.4% against the dollar to 1.3902 and 0.2% firmer versus the euro at 1.1271.

On Friday, the Nasdaq hit a record high as US stocks rallied on the back of solid jobs data, which revealed the perfect combination of a much stronger-than-expected non-farm payrolls number and a worse-than-expected wage growth reading.

For the day the Dow are trading at 25,178.61 with a loss of -0.62% percent or -157.13  point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,783.02  with a loss of -0.13% percent or  -3.55 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,588.32  for up with +0.36% percent or +27.51 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,968.10 for up  with  +0.66% percent or  +144.07 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,543.49 with  a loss of -0.16% percent or  -50.84 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,310.24  with a loss of   -0.49% percent or -16.46 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,662.53 for up with +0.30% percent or  +100.87 point at 12:15 PM.
