FTSE Futures Morning Update on 31 October

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,457.00 for up with +0.13% percent or +10.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,492.50 for up with +0.10% percent or +5.70 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,224.50 for up  with +0.08% percent or +10.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at +0.22% for up with +8.00 percent or +1.0 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

European stocks finished the session only a tad higher despite the record highs hit by some of the major US stockmarket gauges on Tuesday, although Spanish stocks outperformed by a wide margin.

By the closing bell, the benchmark Stoxx 600 was little changed, edging higher by 0.12% or 0.48 points to 393.91, alongside a 0.09% or 12.03 point rise for the Dax to 13,229.57.

Out on the periphery on the other hand, the Ibex 35 jumped 2.44% or 248.50 points to 10,446.0 even after the central government sacked several of the leaders of the nationalist parliament, after triggering Article 155 of the constitution, and dissolved the assembly.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,487.81  with a loss of  –0.23% percent or –17.22 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,493.63  with a loss of  –0.01%  percent or –0.50 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 13,229.57 for up with +0.09%percent or +12.03 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 23,348.74 with a loss of –0.36% percent or –85.45 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,572.83  with a loss of –0.32% percent or –8.24 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,698.96  with a loss of –0.03% percent or –2.30 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,011.61 with 0.00% percent or –0.06 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,330.50 with a loss of –0.02% percent or  –5.69 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,393.34 for up  with +0.09% percent or +3.00  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,268.14 for up with +0.01% percent or +2.10 point at 12:15 PM.
