The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 5,870.80 up with +1.21% percent or +70.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,905.20 up with +1.41% percent or +68.20 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 12,765.30 up with +0.30% or +38.10 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,208.00 with +0.85% percent or +27.00 point.


London stocks were set to rise at the open on Friday after equity markets on Wall Street ended well off their lows despite growing concerns about tightening coronavirus restrictions.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 32 points higher at 5,864.

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson pointed to the fact that US stocks managed to pull back from their lows “as once again hopes of a stimulus package being agreed before the election were raised by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when she assured House Democrats that she would look to address the need for a stimulus plan, if there was no deal with the Republicans, and the White House soon”.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 5,909.94 up with  percent or  +77.42 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 4,837.42 with a loss of percent or ?104.24 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 12,703.75 with a loss of –percent or   ?324.31 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 28,494.20 with a loss of –percent or –19.80 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,483.34 with  a loss of – percent or 5.33 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 11,713.87 with a loss of – percent or –54.86 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at at 23,410.63 with a loss of – percent or 96.60 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,423.30 with percent or +264.76 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 3,336.36 with  percent or +4.18 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,982.39 up with +percent or +253.98 point at 12:15 PM.
