The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,160.20  up with +0.25% percent or +18.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,818.50 up with +0.36% percent or +21.00 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 13,095.00  up with +0.15% percent or +20.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,658.00 up with +0.14% percent or +5.00 point.


 London stocks were set to edge higher at the open on Friday as investors awaited the release of the latest US non-farm payrolls report and continued to eye trade developments.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 14 points higher at 7,151.

CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson said: “It’s been rather a strange week for global equity markets, moving from an expectation that we could well see some movement on trade between the US and China in the next couple of weeks, to the prospect that any solution may well not happen until after the next Presidential election.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,160.25 up with +0.31% percent or +22.40 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,801.55 up with +0.032% percent or +1.87 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 13,054.80 with a loss of  –0.65% percent or –85.77 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 27,677.79 up with +0.10% percent or  +28.01 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,117.43  up with +0.15% percent or +4.67 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,570.70 up with +0.047% percent or +4.03 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,354.40 up with +0.23% percent or +54.31 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,498.37 up with +1.07% percent or +281.33 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,912.01  up with +0.43% percent or +12.55   point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 40,587.41  with a loss of –0.47% percent or –192.18  point at 12:15 PM.
