FTSE Futures Morning Update on 10 September 2019

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at  7,210.50  with a loss of -0.30% percent or -22.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,578.80  with a loss of -0.16% percent or -9.20 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 12,208.30  with  a loss of -0.11% percent or -13.40 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,490.00  with  a loss of -0.11%percent or -4.00 point.


 London stocks were to drop at the open on Tuesday as investors eyed the release of key UK jobs data.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 15 points lower at 7,220.

Ipek Ozkardeskaya, senior market analyst at London Capital Group, said: “The fading positive momentum in Britain’s blue-chip index is partly explained by a stronger pound. The 20-day negative correlation between the sterling and the FTSE has jumped up to 70% last month, as the pound tanked on no-deal Brexit worries.


For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,204.93 with a loss of –0.43% percent or –30.88  point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,577.63 with a loss of –0.20% percent or  –11.32 point.Germany’s DAX closed at 12,203.57  with a loss of  -0.18% percent or -23.11   point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,835.51  up with +0.14% percent or +38.05  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,978.43  with a loss of –0.0094% percent or –0.28 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,087.44 with a loss of –0.19% percent or –15.64  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,392.10 up  with +0.35% percent or +73.68 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,654.37 with a loss of –0.10% percent or –27.03 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,021.20 with a loss of –0.12% percent or –3.54 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,145.45 up with +0.44% percent or +163.68 point at 12:15 PM.
