FTSE Futures Morning Update on 02 May 2019

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,313.80  with a loss of -0.25% percent or -18.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,548.50  up with +0.04% percent or +2.00 point. The DAX Futures is trading at 12,360.80 with a loss of -0.37% percent or -45.80 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,454.00  with a loss of -0.29% percent or -10.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

“Ramped up losses in its commodity sector – a 2.5% slide from copper led the miners lower, while BP and Shell fell 1.5% apiece – contributed to the UK index’s 0.4% decline, one that pushed it under 7390 for the first time in effectively a month.”

Figures released earlier showed that UK manufacturing growth slowed in April as the pace of Brexit stockpiling eased.

The IHS Markit/CIPS manufacturing purchasing managers’ index fell to a two-month low 53.1 from a 13-month high of 55.1 in March.

India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,092.08  up with 0.16% percent or +60.53 point at 12:15 PM.
