FTSE Futures Morning Update on 30 April

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,472.00 up with  +1.36% percent or +100.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,435.50 up  with +0.54% percent or +29.00 point . The DAX Futures is trading at 12,617.00 up with ++0.16%  percent or +20.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,458.00  up with +0.09%  percent or +3.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks finished the session and the week higher as the pound fell below $1.38 for the first time since the start of March on the back of weak UK growth figures.

At the close, the top flight index was standing 1.09% above where it left off the day before, having added 80.78 points to trade at 7,502.21, with the pound down by 0.96% to 1.37842 – capping a bruising week that saw it give back over 2% against the US dollar.

It was a similar story against the single currency, with the pound seeing the week out from 1.1387, after falling by 0.93% on Friday.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,467.87 up with +0.66% percent or +148.26 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 30,756.32  up with +1.57% percent or +475.65  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,082.23 up with +0.23% percent or  +7.20 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,206.09 up with +0.68% percent or +236.39  point at 12:15 PM.
