FTSE Futures Morning Update on 29 January

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,620.80 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -17.70 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,529.20   with a loss of -0.38%  percent or -21.30  point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,346.50 for up with +0.13% percent or +17.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,638.00  with 0.00% percent or 0.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

 London stocks are set for a firmer open on Monday, taking their cue from another record close on Wall Street at the end of last week.

The FTSE 100 was called to open 15 points higher at 7,680.

There are no major data releases due on Monday, but things will pick up on Tuesday with the release of UK net lending and mortgage approvals, while in the US, the Fed’s latest policy announcement is due on Wednesday and non-farm payrolls are out on Friday.

Meanwhile, investors will keep an eye on forex markets following the recent drop in the dollar.

For the day the Dow are trading at 26,616.71 for up with +0.85% percent or  +0.85% point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,872.87  for up with +1.18% percent or +33.62 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 7,505.77 for up  with   +1.28% percent or +1.28% point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 23,629.34  with a loss of -0.01% percent or -2.54 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 32,966.89  with a loss of  -0.56% percent or  -187.23 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,523.00  with a loss of -0.99% percent or -35.13 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 36,361.07 for up with +0.86% percent or  +310.63 point at 12:15 PM.
